Final Inspection

• We start with a proper roof inspection, including the attic and underside of decking.

• We'll order the new materials and remove the old materials. Installing a new roof over an old roof will cause the new shingles to lay awkwardly and quickly fail.

• A roof replacement is a perfect time to update or replace your insulation.

• If your contract includes new insulation, one of our specialists will install it while the decking is off.

• We ensure the new roof layers work as a system to keep water out and keep your home temperature consistent.

• New asphalt shingles are installed in the following order:

Decking, water barrier, flashing, underlayment, starter strip, shingles, and ridge caps.

• Once we've completed your new roof, we'll clean up any debris around your home and remove the old materials for proper disposal.

• We inspect the new roof, ensuring every job is done correctly and the customer is satisfied.

Do I need a new roof?

A good sign you need a new roof includes missing shingles, water stains on the home's interior, or the roof components look out of place. There are also instances in which you might not see the issues, such as rotting plywood, leaks, or pup collar cracks.

What do I do if my roof leaks?

Most would assume it's time for a new roof, but it depends on a number of factors. Understanding the scope of the leak will determine the next steps. In either case, an inspection is the best way to determine the appropriate action.

How much does a new roof cost?

There are a multitude of factors that impact the cost of a new roof. The size, materials, and extent of damage all affect the final cost. Master Home Experts offers free estimates.

Does my roof have a warranty?

Most roofs have warranties, though this depends on the company and the shingle type.

What are the different types of asphalt shingles?

The most common is a "Three Tab Shingle," which are hardy, affordable, and very common. The downside is they don't look or perform as well as the super-durable architectural shingles.
Architectural shingles give a nicer look and hold up just as well as other asphalt shingles. They are thicker and come in a variety of colors.

How long does it take to replace my roof?

This largely depends on the size of the home, but it typically takes about one day. This includes removing the old materials, replacing them with new material, and cleanup.
